DescriptionAl Majmoua - The Lebanese Association for Development is an independent non-profit Lebanese microfinance institution (MFI) following international best practices.
In 1997, it spun off into a fully autonomous NGO, registered as an association with the Lebanese Ministry of Interior.
Currently, Al Majmoua offers group and individual loans, and free non-financial services to its borrowers and non-borrowers through its network of 22 branches all over Lebanon. Our financial services mainly consist of group and individual loans. The Group, Micro-entrepreneur, SME, ICT, and Yalla Shabab (youth) loans serve the business needs of clients while the Worker, Home Improvement, Back To School, and Damej (inclusion) loans serve their social needs. We also provide our women clients with a discount card offering them price reductions on their various personal expenses.
Al Majmoua’s non-financial services comprise a variety of free trainings and social activities which play a complementary role in developing beneficiaries’ businesses and improving their quality of life and family conditions.
Our Non-financial services were introduced in 2006 and are offered free of charge to borrowers and non-borrowers, with priority to women and youth. These services comprise Business Development Services, Product Quality Improvement and Marketing, Personal Development, and Provision of Toolkit and Equipment
